Lucerne or in German “Luzern” is a city in central Switzerland and is also the capital city of the canton of Lucerne. Lucerne is beautifully located in the middle of Switzerland and provides a great starting point to explore the surroundings. The city is located on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the river Reuss and surrounded by mountains. The most iconic landmark of the city is the chapel bridge (Kapellbrücke) built in the 14th century.
